Expanding in China

- The Mikron Tool sales team in Shanghai guarantees a good customer service for China.

China is for Mikron Tool an interesting market, where in future we want to work directly and more closely with our customers and where we intend to intensify the introduction of our products on the Chinese market.
This will be done by our team in Shanghai together with a distribution network with partners which are going to assure a regional presence in the years to come.

The Team:

A sales team composed of 5 people will work directly from Shanghai with the customers. Here they handle inquiries, prepare quotes and process orders. An essential part of the work will be the direct contact with the client; during regular visits optimiations are implemented, changing requirements analyzed and new projects discussed.
A recent example was the visit to the company Dongguan RKT Electron Technology Ltd. The technical team from Mikron Tool reviewed the current process on the spot and was able to significantly increase the performance on the machines by using tools which went through multiple optimizations .

In China it is very important to win the trust of the customer and to develop a personal relationship. A good opportunity is to go out to dinner in more of a casual atmosphere. Moments like joint dinners are a good opportunity to build personal contacts in a relaxed atmosphere and together with enjoyment of  fine food business can be discussed.

The Fairs – CCMT Shanghai:

Industry fairs are an important venue to present to the public our products and possibilities, as well as to strengthen the relationships  already in existence. Mikron Tool had, for the first time, its own booth at the CCMT in Shanghai. Numerous visitors confirmed that the product offerings of Mikron Tool are also very interesting for the Chinese market: Cutting tools with high quality and precision, in small diameters, and for difficult to machine materials. Hence our participation at the fair was judged as positive by the team present

The Agent network

We also started to develop the Agent network in China, which will concentrate mainly on selling the standard cutting tools of Mikron Tool. The goal is our presence in this industry region with competent partners who will have specialized training, and thereby gain the necessary knowledge about our tools as well as the technical competence for the application of the tools. The goal is to be present with competent partners in all important Industry regions. The partners go through a special training to acquire the necessary knowledge of our tools as well as the competence for their application.  This way Mikron Tool customers will have locally a quick and competent support in the near future.
