CrazyDrill Non-Ferrous is available in diameters from 0.2 mm to 2.0 mm (.008" to .079"), including fractional inch sizes. This high-performance micro drill is designed for reliable, precise drilling in non-ferrous metals at depths of up to 12 × d.

The range includes two versions:

  • CrazyDrill Non-Ferrous type NN – for applications with external coolant supply
  • CrazyDrill Non-Ferrous type NK – for applications with through-tool cooling

For drilling with external cooling, CrazyDrill Non-Ferrous type NN is also available in a 5 × d version, covering diameters from 2.0 mm to 6.35 mm ( .079" to .250"), including fractional inch dimensions.

When machining regular, flat and straight surfaces, drilling depths up to 8 × d can generally be achieved without a centering drill or pilot drill. On uneven, rough or irregular surfaces, Mikron Tool recommends preparing the hole with CrazyDrill Pilot SST-Inox or CrazyDrill Twicenter, both equipped with through-tool cooling.

For applications requiring maximum positional accuracy at drilling depths up to 12 × d, a precise starting hole is recommended. This can be produced using CrazyDrill Pilot SST-Inox or CrazyDrill Twicenter, ensuring optimal preparation for deep, accurate micro drilling.

For inclined or angled surfaces, CrazyDrill Crosspilot is the ideal pilot drill for 5 x d, 8 × d and 12 × d CrazyDrill Non-Ferrous applications.
